About this product

Borosilicate glass — the same material as laboratory glassware — is completely non-porous, holds temperature beautifully, and cleans more thoroughly than any other body-safe material, including a run through the dishwasher.

The Sona wand's two ends offer a gentle curve and a ribbed profile. Warm it in a bowl of warm water or cool it in the fridge; the glass holds either comfortably for ten to fifteen minutes. Physiotherapists use similar tools for internal trigger-point work — if that is your purpose, get professional guidance on technique first.

Frequently asked questions

Can glass break during use?+

Borosilicate is the fracture-resistant glass used for lab equipment and oven dishes. It will survive normal use and ordinary drops onto carpet or timber; like any glass, inspect it for chips before each use and discard it if you ever find one.

How warm or cold can I make it?+

Warm it in a bowl of warm tap water (never boiling, never the microwave) or cool it in the fridge (not the freezer). Aim for comfortably warm or refreshingly cool — always test against your inner wrist first.

What lubricant works with glass?+

All of them — glass is the one material compatible with water-based and silicone-based lubricants alike.
